Bids on Halls of Fame

Macon’s Hall of Fame Inc. was the only group to submit a proposal for the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame.

Georgia Sports Hall of Fame Director Ben Sapp confirmed that a bid from Athens was not received. However, the bid from Hall of Fame Inc. will be reviewed by board members on January 12.

Sapp says, “There will be no further comment until then.”

Also, the Georgia Music hall of fame released the Hall of Fame Inc.’s plan to take over the Music hall.
The proposal includes a long-term goal to make the museum self-sufficient. But the board will still have to meet to make a decision on the plan moving forward.

Georgia Music Hall of Fame Executive Director Lisa Love says “It’s all in the board’s hands.”
