Bibb Sheriff’s deputy charged with stalking, identity theft

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office will now conduct an internal investigation after one of its own turned himself in.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, 35-year-old Deputy Curtis Ryan Willis used the identity of a female friend to communicate with an ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend.

Willis turned himself in Friday evening. He was released from jail on Saturday on a $4,380 bond

Without the female friend’s permission, he repeatedly sent unwanted texts to his ex-girlfriend–trying to get her to believe he was her female friend.

He also used the same female’s alias in an attempt to communicate in an explicit nature with the new boyfriend, trying disrupt their relationship.

Willis has been charged with stalking, identity theft fraud and harassing phone calls.

Willis is also suspended from duty at the Sheriff’s Office pending an internal investigation.
