Bibb Sheriff-Elect David Davis Takes Oath Thursday

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – David Davis will take the oath of office Thursday to succeed Jerry Modena as Bibb County’s sheriff. 

After he takes the oath, he’s expected to outline his goals for the next year.

Davis was elected in November, after facing no opposition in the general election and officially takes office January 1, 2013. 

Davis was hired by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office in 1979 and has served as chief deputy since 2007.
