Bibb Schools Connect-to-Compete Program Extended Until December 31st

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — There’s still time for some Bibb County parents to get affordable computers and Internet access before the end of the year.

Thanks to Cox Communcations, the Connect-to-Compete pilot program will now run through December 31st.

Beverly Blake with the Knight Foundation says this program gives Bibb County the tools they need to succeed in a digital world.

“If you don’t know how to use the Internet, if you don’t have access to the Internet and if you don’t have a computer, you’re effectively a second class citizen in today’s digital economy,” says Blake.

The program is only available for parents who have children in 21 select schools in Bibb County. Click here to see which schools are included on that list.

You can apply online by heading to the Connect2Compete website, or you can call 1-855-222-3217.
