Bibb School Board receives three-million dollar grant

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County School board received a 3.1-million dollar grant for Hutchings College and Career Academy.

Stephanie Hartley with the Bibb County School Board tells 41NBC the grant came from the state. It will be used to create a satellite campus for Hutchings College and Career Academy at the Promise Center on Anthony Road.

Hartley said this is a way for the school to design a true work place for students.

Since the location is so close to Central Georgia Technical College, school officials will be working together to provide college and career readiness opportunities for students.
