Bibb School Board prepares for accreditation review

AdvancedED gave the district an accreditation with warning status two years ago. The district needed to improve in a few areas, including governance and leadership. The district scored 1.67 out of 4 in that category.

Board members are working on a governance handbook to improve this score.

“It’s a guidebook. Something that new board members, and even current board members, can turn to and look at the policy of a certain situation,” explained board member Jason Downey.

The board has until May 1st to submit its proof of progress report to AdvancedED.
