Bibb investigators arrest Macon man with large quantity of marijuana

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Bibb County Sheriff’s investigators along with the Sheriff’s Office S.W.A.T. conducted a search warrant at a residence in the 60’s block of Davis Street. 

Authorities identified the man as 29-year-old Kelvin Laterrance Womack. They say that the incident happened on August 28 at 10:41 a.m. 

Investigators received a tip that Womack had a large quantity of marijuana in his residence. They say deputies made entry into the home and found Womack with approximately two and a half pounds of marijuana. 

Deputies also located a large sum of cash and a gun. Investigators detained Womack.

Deputies took Womack to the Bibb County Jail and charged him with:

  • Purchase, Possession, Manufacture, Distribution or Sale of Marijuana
  • Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony

Also, authorities have set no bond for Womack.
