UPDATE: Bibb inmate dies after found unresponsive in cell
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Bibb County Sheriff’s inmate who was found unresponsive in his cell last month has died.
According to a news release, Bibb Coroner Leon Jones told deputies Christopher Hasty was pronounced dead Saturday at 1:48pm at the Medical Center, Navicent Health.
Hasty was found hanging by a sheet in his cell on February 26.
A Bibb County inmate was unresponsive in his jail cell this morning.
Christopher Hasty was found hanging by a sheet in his cell. According to reports, when deputies found him, they immediately got him down and started performing CPR.
Hasty is in critical condition at Navicent Health.
He was at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center for a probation violation.
