Bibb Elementary Students Jump for Life
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Wednesday kids at Alexander II Elementary School jumped for a cause. About 550 students in grades K-5th stayed active to bring awareness to heart disease. Kids also raised money for the American Heart Association. The little ones enjoyed the break from their text books.
“We’re jump roping, we’re spinning a ball and we’re jumping and we’re doing it again and again,” said Barrett Moody, Alexander II.
“It’s jump rope for the heart and we have fun and then we get to do limbo and the slide,” said Janiya Latimore, Alexander II.
P.E Coach Jim Mills says the three day event is a great way to teach kids the importance of staying active. This is the 8th year Alexander II has participated in “Jump for the Heart.”
