Bibb deputies still searching for suspect in Goodwin Drive shooting
Authorities say 34-year-old Verconus Redding, also known as Head, is wanted for home invasion and aggravated assault. He’s known to frequent the following areas: Bellevue, Pleasant Hill, Unionville, South Macon, Bloomfield, West Macon, Lizella, and Milledgeville where he has family.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb Sheriff’s Office identified one of the suspects involved in Monday’s shooting at a home on Goodwin Drive.
According to a news release, investigators are looking for 34-year-old Verconus Geona Redding. He is also known as “Head.” Authorities have warrant out for Redding for the charges of two counts of aggravated assault and home invasion.
Investigators are still trying to identify the second suspect involved in the shooting. He’s described as having a slim build and between the ages of 18 to 20 years old. He was wearing black pants and a black shirt.
On Monday around 10:30 a.m., 18-year-old Zatarian Fowler was visiting his relative, 44-year-old Steven Jones, at the home on Goodwin Drive. Fowler reported he heard a knock at the door. When he opened the door, to men were there. One suspect had a gun and started firing shots into the home.
Fowler was hit once in his right shoulder. Jones was hit once in the right hand. The victims were sent to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
