Bibb deputies searching for two suspects in “smash and grab” cases
Investigators say the two suspects used large rocks to bust out the front glass doors of Cynthia’s Hair and Nails and Tropical Flava on Houston Road. The suspects went into the businesses, but didn’t steal anything.
About a mile south in a shopping center at the corner of Houston Road and Hartley Bridge Road, the suspects tried to bust the front door of Moon’s Wings, but they were unsuccessful. The did break the front glass door of Finesse Nails, but authorities say they didn’t steal anything.
The sheriff’s office says the suspects broke the glass door of the Papa John’s Pizza two miles west on Hartley Bridge Road, but they didn’t take anything. Investigators say they broke into the Farmers Insurance and stole a laptop and between $20 to $50 in cash.
According to the sheriff’s office, the burglar alarm companies did not call in alerts from the affected businesses as they were being broken into. The sheriff’s office is asking business owners to check their burglar alarms and surveillance cameras to make sure they’re working.
The first suspect was wearing a black mask, all black clothing, and black and white tennis shoes. The second suspect was wearing a black mask, all black clothing, and black shoes.
