Bibb deputies searching for purse snatcher

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect accused of stealing a purse.

According to a news release, the robbery happened around 6 a.m. on Thursday, March26 at the Lucky 7 Foods convenience store on Gray Highway.

Investigators say the 42-year-old female victim was sitting at one of the game machines inside the store when two men sat near her. The victim says the suspects suddenly got up and one of the men grabbed her purse.

Both the suspects ran out of the store, got into a small white car, and drove away. The victim and a witness gave a partial tag number of the vehicle, which is “9122.”

The suspect was wearing a light and dark colored striped shirt.
