Bibb deputies searching for Family Dollar robbery suspect

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a suspect connected to a commercial armed robbery at a Family Dollar on Mercer University Drive, according to a news release.
The incident happened just after 7:30 p.m. at the Family Dollar located at 3190 Mercer University Drive.
Authorities said an individual entered the store wearing a T-shirt as a mask and brandishing a firearm. The suspect demanded money from the cash register, and a store clerk removed one of the register cash boxes containing an undisclosed amount of money.
Investigators said the suspect then fled the business on foot toward Anthony Road.
The suspect was wearing a tan shirt, black jeans and gray-and-white sneakers.
