Bibb deputies investigating accident on I-16

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb Sheriff’s Office is investigating a car accident that shut down all lanes on I-16 eastbound for about half an hour Wednesday.

Investigators say the accident happened around 3 p.m. on the Ocmulgee Bridge.

According to the sheriff’s office, a Dodge Durango driven by 20-year-old Danielle Wiley of Kathleen hit a Honda Accord driven by 22-year-old Cheyenne Cosby of Gray. The Durango rolled over several times and landed on its roof.

Authorities are still trying to figure out what caused the accident.

Wiley and her three children were sent to the hospital and are in stable condition. Cosby was not injured.
