Bibb deputies investigate armed robbery at Publix grocery store

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery that took place at the Publix on Bowman Road around 1:00 p.m., Wednesday.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, a man walked into the store and approached the customer service desk. He then waited for the area to clear and showed the clerk a handgun and demanded money. After receiving the cash he left the store headed towards the east side of the parking lot.

A representative Publix says the suspect may be connected to other armed robberies at grocery store in Atlanta that were conducted in the same manner.
