Bibb County Superintendent Wants To Improve High School Graduation Rates
Bibb County’s educations system was the topic of discussion at the League of Women Voters meeting today. According to Bibb County Superintendent Dr. Romain Dallemand, last year fewer than 50 percent of the students who entered 9th grade 4 years ago graduated. The League of Women’s mission is to raise awareness to issues and concerns of governmental actions not only within the Bibb County community but also nationwide. During the Meeting Dr. Dallemand talked about his focus and plan for moving the school district forward. Dallemand says education is key to improving the economy.
“We want to have a system that prepares every child for college. Now whether or not every child goes to college that’s a conversation the child and his or her Parents need to have” said, Dr. Dallemand.
The meeting was held at the Brickyard at Riverside golf club.
