Bibb County Student Cut with Knife during School Fight

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A 15-year student from Northeast High School is facing charges for aggravated assault and possession of a weapon on school grounds for cutting another student with a knife during a fight.

The 16-year old student who was cut on the tip of her right hand ring finger was treated at school and released to her parent.

According to a news release from the Bibb County School District, it all happened this morning. Two other students also face charges because after the fight, the 15-year old gave the knife to a 17-year old tenth grade female student, who gave the knife to a 17-year old tenth grade male student.  He hid the knife beneath a computer in a classroom.  They are charged with possession of a weapon on school grounds and were taken to the Bibb County Jail.

The student accused of cutting the other student was taken to the Macon Regional Youth Detention Center.
