Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Work to Solve Weekend Crime Incidents
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office was busy throughout the weekend.
Deputies are looking for the man who shot and killed another, over a vehicle. A witness said, 59-year-old Walter Henley was arguing with another man on his back porch, on Fulton Mill Road, Saturday night. The suspect then shot Henley several times. Bibb county Coroner Leon Jones pronounced Henley dead just before 10:30. The investigation is ongoing.
Sunday Morning around 1:00, deputies got a call of a robbery at the Red Roof Inn, on River Place Drive. The suspect entered the store with his hand on his waist. He demanded money, and ran away with an unknown amount. He is described as 5’10 and a medium build. He appeared to be in his 20’s, and was last seen wearing an orange shirt. No one was hurt.
Finally, in East Macon a robbery at the X-mart on Emory Highway just before 7:00 Sunday morning. Deputies say the suspect entered the store and flashed a gun before demanding money. He ran away with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was hurt. The man was wearing all black clothing, including a mask and gloves. He is described as 5’7 to 5’8 and weighing around 180lbs.
