Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigating shooting incident

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the Coliseum Hospital at 350 Hospital Drive Thursday afternoon around 4:45 p.m. in reference to a male that came in with a gunshot wound. The victim was identified as 22 year old Anthony Seabrooks.

It was reported that Seabrooks was at Clinton Road and Washburn Drive when he saw a friend and told him he had been shot and needed to be taken to the hospital. Seabrooks’s friend reported hearing gunshots as he was walking through the Triangle Food and Gas, located at New Clinton Road and Millerfield Road, prior to seeing Seabrooks. Seabrooks was taken to the Coliseum Hospital and is listed in stable condition.

Investigators are currently looking into the incident. No evidence of the shooting occurring where Seabrooks described was found. No further information is available at this time.
