Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Personal Armed Robbery

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of a personal armed robbery that took place outside of the State Bank and Trust Company that’s located at 4699 Log Cabin Dr.

It happened around 2:30p.m., Sunday afternoon when two employees from a local convenient store were making a deposit at the outside drop box and an armed suspect approached them and demanded that the store employees hand over the bank deposit bag. Once the suspect received the deposit bag that contained undisclosed amount of cash, he fled the area on foot.

The suspect is described as a 25-30 year old black male. He was approximately 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighed around 140 to 150 pounds. The suspect was wearing khaki shorts and a black shirt.
