Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigating commercial robbery at Family Dollar

Deputies say the robbery took place on June 6 at 7:48 p.m. at Family Dollar, located at 4925 Bloomfield Road.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a commercial robbery that took place at a Family Dollar.

Deputies say the robbery took place on June 6 at 7:48 p.m. at Family Dollar, located at 4925 Bloomfield Road.

The masked man entered Family Dollar and brandished a firearm, demanding money from the store clerk and patrons. The man took an undisclosed amount of money and fled  on foot west near Chambers Road.

Deputies describe the suspect as a slender man with a height between five foot seven and six feet, weighing one hundred twenty to one hundred sixty pounds. The suspect wore a mask and all black clothing.

No one was injured during the incident. The incident is currently under investigation.
