Bibb County Sheriff David Davis says over the last year, he’s seen an increase in repeat offenders.

“Some of the people that we capture for burglary, they’re not serving much of their time. They get a great amount of time in prison, but they only serve a very small portion of it. So we’re beginning to see repeat offenders,” Davis said.

Because of the increase, the sheriff’s office implemented two burglary task force initiatives in various neighborhoods.
