Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies Searching for Suspect in Commercial Robbery

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Bibb County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for a suspect after a robbery at the Houston Mart located at 3472 Houston Avenue.

According to a news release, the male suspect entered the store, demanded money from an employee, and then proceeded to go behind the counter to grab a cash register and part of another one. He left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash. The incident happened around 7:30 Sunday night.

The suspect is described to be around 5’11 with a stocky build. He was wearing blue jeans, a gray jacket, a dark colored t-shirt with a print on the front, dark tennis shoes, a gray mask and blue and white gloves.

The employee received a minor cut on the arm during the incident.
