Bibb County School Leaders Quiet on Alleged Rape

It’s been 11 days of silence from Bibb County School leaders after an alleged rape at Northeast High School.

Today, 41 NBC’s Brittany Gonzalez went to the Board of Education’s Office to get answers for the second time and again school leaders wouldn’t speak with her. According to Superintendent Dr. Romain Dallemand’s secretary, he was tied up in meetings all day.

Spokesperson for the school district, Alisha Allen-Carter, has not returned 41 NBC’s calls and her secretary tells us she will be unavailable all week.

Lead detective on this case. Corey Gobel, Bibb County Campus Police is not making any comments and referred all questions to the District Attorney’s Office.

41 NBC has filed an open records request to get a copy of the incident report for January 19th; that’s the day the alleged rape took place.

41 NBC was told Bibb County Schools in-house attorney, Randy Howard, would send us a
copy of it this afternoon, we are still currently waiting on it.

We will continue to work to get answers on what exactly happened and how school leaders responded.
