Bibb County School District offering free summer meals for children

Meals will be available Monday through Thursday through June 25 at multiple school sites across the county.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Children 18 and younger in Bibb County can receive free summer meals through the Bibb County School District beginning June 1.

According to the district, meals will be available Monday through Thursday through June 25 at multiple school sites across the county.

Breakfast will be served from 8 to 8:30 a.m. at Weaver Middle School and Southwest High School. Breakfast will also be served from 9 to 9:30 a.m. at Heritage Elementary School, John R. Lewis Elementary School, Northwoods Academy, Springdale Elementary School and Veterans Elementary School.

Lunch will be available at all participating sites from 12:30 to 1 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

District officials said the program is open to all children 18 and younger at no cost.
