Bibb County School Board approves Kumho Tire payment plan

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County School Board approved the amount of money it will receive from Kumho Tires. 

This is part of the company’s agreement with Macon-Bibb County.

Instead of paying property taxes, Kumho will pay money to the School Board, the Industrial Authority, and the Commission during its first 15 years of business.

The amount will total 27-million dollars. 

After 15 years, Kumho will be responsible for paying its property taxes.
