Bibb County Pools Extend Hours

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – All of the pools in Bibb County may not be open, but that isn’t stopping residents from hopping in this summer.

Memorial Park pool is one of only three open so far this summer.

But today, Bibb county Commission Chairman Sam Hart announced a plan to get kids from the Bloomfield area to Memorial Park to swim.

Hart says the county also decided to extend swim hours at Memorial Park, Booker T. Washington, and East Macon.

“We decided to provide transportation for youngsters from these facility to open pools so they world have the opportunity to swim,” Hart said.

In addition to more swim time, residents will have the opportunity to get free morning swimming lessons.
