Bibb County Names Thiago Aleixo “Teacher of the Year”

Tonight, the Bibb County School District names their “Teacher of the Year.” Thiago Aleixo is proud and humble member of the Elam Alexander family. He says he still can’t believe he was named the best in Bibb County.

“Just to be nominated is a huge, huge expectation that I didn’t see coming.”

Lara Sims, Director of Elam Alexander, says there’s no one more deserving of the title “Teacher of the Year”.

“Children are successful in his room that have not been in any other settings.”
