Bibb County Mentors Project Trains Future Leaders

Some students in middle Georgia are using summer vacation as a time to train to be leaders.

Students with the Bibb County Mentors Project took part in a youth leadership academy on Wednesday. They were given the tools to be successful in all aspects of life including school and the workplace.

Students learned about job interview etiquette, how to budget their money,
and how to dress for success.

Executive Director of the Bibb County Mentors Project says, “We have 18 young people here this morning, all of them want a job, none of the group has a job, we want to keep things positive and we want to equip them with the skills they need to be successful in a job interview and when they get that first job we want them to be work ready.”

The group is always looking for mentors. If interested or want more information call (478) 765-8624.
