Bibb County Deputy arrested after lying about hours on his timesheet

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Bibb County Officer was arrested for lying about the amount of hours he worked while on his shift

Henry Poole was responsible for driving inmates, but police said he was instead working as a bus driver at the Macon Transit Authority when clocked in.

Police said Poole lied about more than 430 hours. These hours equal $7,830.15.

Sheriff David Davis said he was annoyed and disappointed by Poole’s actions.

Poole bailed out of jail.

He is charged with theft by taking fiduciary and violation of oath by public officer.
