Bibb County deputies investigate reported threat at Piedmont Occupational Health

Members of the sheriff’s office EOD Unit are checking the building as a safety precaution.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an alleged threat reported to staff at Piedmont Occupational Health.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies were called to the scene at 12:57 p.m. and assisted in clearing employees from the building.

Members of the sheriff’s office EOD Unit are checking the building as a safety precaution.

The sheriff’s office said no active threat has been detected at this time.

The investigation remains ongoing.
