Bibb County Democratic Party opens new office in Macon

The democratic office opened its doors for candidates to meet with their volunteers. They can also do all types of campaign activities from working the phones to holding meetings. The new office was also used to meet people who wanted to register to vote.

Monday was the last day to register to vote.

The new Democratic Party office, located at 835 Forsyth Street in Macon, will be used to collect names and addresses for those who need a ride to the polls on Election Day, according to the Vice Chair, of the Bibb County Democratic Party, John Swint.

“It helps the under-candidates by that I mean, not just the Nunn ticket or the Carter ticket but all the statewide offices, that really need a presence in Bibb County,” said Swint.

Swint credits Bibb County Commissioner, Elaine Lucas for opening the new office.
