Bibb County burglary suspect caught in Americus

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Bibb County burglary suspect was caught in Americus by the U.S. Marshal’s Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force.

Task force agents found 38-yearold James Malory Brown at a convenience store. Brown was arrested without incident, according to Bibb County Sheriff’s Lt. Randy Gonzalez.

Brown is accused of breaking into a home on Lower Thomaston Road on December 19, Gonzalez said.

He is in custody at the Bibb County Law Enforcement complex, being charged with two counts of burglary and two counts of theft by taking.

Brown and the car he was driving during the alleged burglary were captured on home security surveillance video. The footage showed Brown allegedly taking items from the house, explained Gonzalez.

His bond has been set for $8,000 on the theft by taking charges. No bond has been set for the burglary charges.
