Bibb County Board of Education Selects New Principal, Assistant to Superintendant

The Bibb County Board of Education unanimously selected Elizabeth Blair-Ricks to be the new principal for Southwest High School.

She is currently the assistant principal at Central High School.

Superintendent Doctor Romain Dallemand says he believes Blair-Ricks will be able to help improve some of the issues facing the school.

“We have student discipline, that’s a big one..explusions, suspensions. We’re also talking about student achievement. I need someone who’s going to come and help me work with the staff collaboratively, someone who will be a very strong communicator to bring the school to the next level,” Dr. Dallemand said.

The School Board also selected Alisha Allen-Carter to be the new assistant to the superintendent.
