MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Board of Education has approved Fiscal Year 2026 General Fund Budget Amendment #3.

District officials say the general fund budget should be updated whenever new information arrives from federal, state or local agencies to ensure it accurately reflects both expected and confirmed changes in revenue and expenses.

The amendment accounts for the Georgia school district supplemental payment awarded to districts this year, along with the associated expense for payments to Bibb County School District staff. It also includes a mid-term QBE adjustment, FY26 security grant expenditures, and other minor amendments.

With the approval of Budget Amendment #3, the district’s revised projected fund balance is $48,444,164.
