Bibb County Board of Commissioners Names Four People to SPLOST Advisory Board
Tonight, the Bibb County Board of Commissioners named four people to the SPLOST advisory committee.
- Dan Slagle, Vice President of Cox Business
- Monica Smith, President and CEO of Macon-Bibb Convention and Visitor Bureau
- Theron Ussery, Network Process and Quality Manager for ATT Southeast
- Bruce Freeman, President and Owner of B and B Free, LLC , dba McDonald’s
They will join the three members appointed by Macon City Council.
“I have no qualms about the selection of the committee. When this council chooses something, then I’m fine with it,” says Council President, James Timley.
Council chose former Macon Mayor, C. Jack Ellis, former State Representative, David Lucas, and Macon resident and dentist, Lindsay Holliday to represent the city on the board. The committee is responsible for overseeing how the SPLOST money is spent.
