The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help identifying a man who robbed a downtown Macon business at gunpoint on Tuesday. Deputies say the incident happened at the 567 Center for Renewal, located at 456 First Street.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in an armed robbery that occurred Tuesday afternoon in downtown Macon.

Deputies say the incident happened at the 567 Center for Renewal, located at 456 First Street. The call was reported to the Macon-Bibb Emergency 911 Center at approximately 2:19 p.m.

Victim forced to the back of the store at gunpoint

According to the sheriff’s office, a male entered the business, brandished a firearm, and forced the victim to the back of the store. The suspect reportedly took the victim’s phone and money before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described was wearing a white graphic T-shirt with writing, a dark-colored head covering, and dark-colored shorts.
