Bibb BOE President seeking re-election
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The President of the Bibb County Board of Education is seeking re-election.
Lester Miller announced his campaign Monday morning.
If elected, this would be Miller’s second term serving the district. He currently represents District 4. The district is located in southwest Bibb County with public school students attending Skyview, Heritage, Union and Veterans Elementary Schools, Howard Middle and High Schools, Rutland Middle and High Schools, Weaver Middle School and Westside High School, and the Academy for Classical Education Charter School.
“Despite the difficult challenges since elected, we have proven to be good stewards of taxpayer money while at the same time improving student achievement,” said Miller.
Miller believes there is still more work to be done and wants to continue his service to the community.
Miller is a local attorney with 22 years of trial experience, a graduate of Southwest High School, Mercer University and the Walter F. George School of Law.
Election Day in Macon-Bibb County is May 24.
