Bass Pro Shops presents Steve Harvey with boat in Macon
Steve Harvey visits Macon as Bass Pro Shops supports youth mentorship program with new boat donation

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Television personality Steve Harvey was in Macon Monday for a special presentation centered on youth mentorship and outdoor experiences.
Bass Pro Shops in Macon hosted the event, where Harvey was presented with a brand new RANGER boat. The boat will support the Steve Harvey Mentoring Program.
The program, hosted by the Steve and Marjorie Harvey Foundation, focuses on introducing teens ages 13 to 18 to fishing, leadership, confidence, and perseverance through outdoor experiences at Harvey’s ranch near Atlanta.
Harvey explained how the boat will be used as part of the program’s ongoing mission. Harvey added that Johnny Morris, the founder of Bass Pro Shops, shared a text with him about the plan to auction the boat and donate the proceeds to the foundation.
“What we’re going to do is I’m going to drive this boat for about a year and a half, then he wants to auction the boat off and take all the money and give it to the foundation,” Harvey said. “And then he’ll give me a new boat. I drive that for a year or so, sign it, auction it off, and get the money to the foundation. I mean, that’s just an amazing deal.”
According to Harvey, the boat will serve as a hands-on tool within the mentoring program, helping teach fishing and outdoor skills while reinforcing leadership and perseverance.
