Barberitos celebrates Cinco de Mayo
While it's a relatively minor holiday in Mexico, it's widely celebrated in the United States as a way to honor Mexican culture and heritage.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) –It’s Cinco de Mayo, and restaurants and bars across Middle Georgia are celebrating by serving Mexican food, tequila and margaritas.
Barberitos, located at 652 New St. in Macon, is giving away free queso on Cinco de Mayo.
Assistant Manager Tnessa said the restaurant is embracing the holiday.
“Everyone’s culture should be celebrated, and right now, it’s the Mexican culture,” she said.
Cinco de Mayo, which means “Fifth of May” in Spanish, commemorates Mexico’s victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. While it’s a relatively minor holiday in Mexico, it’s widely celebrated in the United States as a way to honor Mexican culture and heritage.
