Bank robbery suspect arrested in Macon
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A suspected Columbus bank robber was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Macon, Friday June 5.
According to a Department of Justice news release, 56-year-old Michael Lee Hall stole a 1987 Chevrolet Camaro from a dealership in Forsyth on June 1.
Hall allegedly drove the car to commit the robbery with a partner. The car was found abandoned in Columbus.
A Macon Crimestoppers tip alerted deputies that Hall was on Pio Nono Avenue in a rental car. Authorities spotted the car driving up to Enterprise Car Rental.
Hall was arrested instantly. He is currently being held in the Monroe County Jail.
