Band of the Week: Mary Persons High School

This week’s 41NBC Band of the Week spotlight shines on Mary Persons High School Bulldog Brigade.

Band Director Tyler Allen says the band has been working hard on this year’s production, titled “Catch Me If You Can.” The show will feature a mix of high-energy music, including Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal” and Bon Jovi’s “Wanted Dead or Alive.”

The production will go beyond the music, incorporating props, flags and sound design to create a full visual experience for the crowd.

But the excitement doesn’t stop on the football field. The band is also looking forward to a trip to Dollywood in the spring, where students will have another opportunity to showcase their talent.
