Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office believes missing teen is safe

MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Baldwin County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for missing 16-year-old Kiersten Patterson.

The teen has been missing since February 6.

Captain Brad King says authorities believed they spotted her at a Wal-Mart in Atlanta.

Investigators are studying surveillance video to confirm the girl was Patterson.

King says the girl tried to contact her mother but couldn’t.

Authorities doesn’t believe the soon to be 17-year-old is any danger as of 3:00 p.m. February 25. They believe she has chosen to move out of the house without telling her parents. Patterson packed majority of her things when she left.

She’s described as being  5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing around 130lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes.
