Baldwin County, Milledgeville battle over service agreement

MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (WMGT/41NBC) – The City of Milledgeville and Baldwin County are still battling over who is responsible for certain services.

Now, the county says it will no longer provide library or animal control services within the city of Milledgeville.

County commissioners made that decision during a mediation meeting this week. The county says it will be up to the city to provide those resources or they can contract out to the county.

This decision comes after county and city leaders could not finalize a new service delivery agreement.
