Autopsy Of Trotter Shows No Foul Play, Trauma

CHICAGO (AP) – An autopsy of acclaimed chef Charlie Trotter has revealed no sign of trauma or foul play.

The autopsy was conducted Wednesday.

A news release from the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office says additional tests to determine a cause of death could take as long as eight weeks. Those tests include a toxicology analysis.

The 54-year-old Trotter died Tuesday at a Chicago hospital after paramedics found him unresponsive at his home.

Friends have said they had become increasingly concerned about Trotter’s health in recent years. One noted he had been hospitalized over the summer after a seizure.

Trotter gained international attention and won numerous awards as a chef.
