Audit Shows Weakness In WR Computer System

An audit of the City of Warner Robins·shows weakness in the computer system.

The finding comes after the City’s website was hacked into and down for several weeks.

Nichols, Cauley & Associates, the company that preformed the audit, also found that there is no back up system for the City’s computers if they crash, which means there would be no way to pay employees or send out mass messages if there was a natural disaster.

The auditors urged Mayor Chuck Shaheen and Council Members to upgrade the systems to help the city run more efficiently. Mayor Shaheen says fixing the problem is a top priority to prevent cyber crimes.
