Attempted Robbery at Tom’s Mart

MACON, Georgia ( 41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man who attempted to rob Tom’s Mart at 4381 Mercer University Drive Saturday morning.

According to a news release from the Sheriff’s Office, when employees were locking the store, they noticed a male with a gun running towards them.

The employees then ran toward their cars and the suspect fired shots at them.

The owner of the store, Young Kim, who was in his car during the time, got out of his car and fired multiple shots into the air.

The suspect then ran away.

No one was injured, but several cars had damage to the windows.
