Attempted armed robbery on Vineville Avenue outside Jim Shaw’s Seafood Restaurant

(41NBC/WMGT) — The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office sent out a release Tuesday night concerning an armed robbery attempt in the parking lot of Jim Shaw’s Seafood Restaurant on Vineville Avenue around 7:04 p.m. on October 2nd.

According to the BCSO, the incident involved a male brandishing a handgun and demanding  money from customers that were returning to their vehicle. One of the customers screamed and ran towards a nearby family member, the suspect then got back into a light colored vehicle and fled the scene.

The release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office describes the suspect as a black male wearing a yellow hoodie. The suspect’s vehicle was described as a light colored or white Toyota Camry with several people inside of it.
