Attempted armed robbery at Wendy’s on Gray Highway

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an attempted armed robbery that happened at the Wendy’s on 1073 Gray Highway just before 12:30 Monday morning.

Deputies say two men entered the restaurant, and one of the men pointed an assault rifle at the employees and demanded money. The employees told the suspects that they could not access any money, then the suspects ran off. No one was injured.

One suspect is described as 5’8 and weighs150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a brown shirt, black pants and a bandana covering his face. The other suspect is described as being 5’10, and weighs 140 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt, black pants and a bandana covering his face.
