AT&T is making a big purchase

At&t reached a deal over the weekend to buy Time Warner for $85 billion dollars.

That means AT&T would own HBO, CNN, TNT and TBS.

AT&T wants Time Warner as it wants the shows for its customers to download.

But does this do consumers any good?

Public interest groups say the combined group could gather more information about its customers, which could mean more invasive ads.

An AT&T and Time Warner deal does have to pass regulatory authority and there’s already been some push back on that.

There’s a lot of uncertainty about what day is the best to buy an airplane ticket.

Barron’s did the digging and believes it has the definitive answer.

Tuesday afternoon—specifically 3 pm.

Airline officials come to work on Monday and decide what airfares should be (based on how seats sold over the weekend). Tuesday morning, every airline finds out what competitors are charging for routes and they can start adjusting fares. All this settles down by the afternoon.

Stocks ended the week up a bit after swinging between small gains and losses.

The DOW closed lower Friday by 16 points despite Microsoft hitting an all time high after a strong profit report.

Target is recalling 127-thousand Halloween window clings due to a choking hazard.

According to the consumer product safety commission, the Halloween-themed led gel clings can separate and expose the battery. If a child were to find the button, they could choke.

The clings were sold nationally from august to September 2016 for $1 — feature a green skeleton, pink skeleton, purple spider, black cat, orange pumpkin, and black bat.
The cubs’ final home game of the world series is tracking to be among the most expensive tickets in sports history.

Tickets for all three games in Chicago have an average listing price of more than $3,500 the secondary ticket market as of Sunday, according to SeatGeek.

Game 5 tickets are going for 46-hundred dollars.
